Trumbull Congregational Church is searching for a Director of Youth Ministry who work with us to coordinate our growing program. This is a 15-hour-a-week position, 40 weeks per year.

The Director of Youth Ministry is responsible for the planning, management and execution of TCC's Youth Program.

1. Major responsibilities for the Youth Program coordination include:

Plan and facilitate weekly Middle School Youth Group meetings and weekly Senior High School Youth Group meetings.

Plan and facilitate special events (e.g. retreat, outreach projects, over-nighters, and social events).

Encourage spiritual and community growth among Youth Program participants.

Serve as liaison and maintain open communication with parent and church member volunteers.

Working with the pastor, provide emotional and spiritual support to program participants and parents when needed.

Serve as a resource person, evaluating and researching current curriculum, events and related materials and encouraging the use of available resources.

Oversee Youth Program participation in special events of TCC, in conjunction with the Board of Christian Education, Pastor, Director of Children's Ministry, Board of Christian Outreach and others.

Regular participation in the worship life of the Church.

2. The Director of Youth Ministry will be responsible for the planning, management and execution of the Youth Program. Major responsibilities for Management include:

Contribute to monthly meetings of the Christian Education Board, as well as regular meetings with the pastor.

Recommend annual budget to the Board of Christian Education.

Write and present annual report to the congregation, in conjunction with Board of Christian Education.

Write monthly articles for the church newsletter (the Crier) as well as announcements in the weekly Sunday Church Bulletin.

Develop and maintain youth group pages on the TCC website (www.trumbullcongregational.org).

Request and remind Church Administrative Assistant for space usage needs.

3.  The Church will support and cooperate with the Director of Youth Ministry in every possible way and will assume responsibility for:

Encouraging youth participation in the programs offered by the Director of Youth Ministry.

Volunteering to serve in the Youth Program.
