1.  To develop the youths' decision-making skills in the area of faith, ethics and values.

2.  To expose them to issues that affect our community and the world through hands-on involvement.

3.  To help them experience fellowship and a sense of belonging to the community through recreation and the sharing of experiences.

Youth group activities are scheduled during the school year and are generally a mix of community service, social activities, and fundraisers. Some of the past social events have included bowling, sleepovers, movie nights, Six Flags, skiing, and retreats.

We also serve the community by sponsoring fundraising events like Souper Bowl Sunday (for Bridgeport Rescue Mission), helping out at area soup kitchens, cleaning up the environment (Pleasure Beach in Bridgeport), assisting in AmeriCares Homefront Day and church clean-up days and holding a Halloween Haunted house for the younger church school children. The Youth Group always welcomes adult chaperones on their field trips. Friends of the children may also participate in Youth Group Events with a signed permission slip.
